Origin of Kerala has been linked to a legend dating back to Satya Yug. According to this legend, Kerala rose up from the sea when Lord Parasurama threw his axe into it and the sea receded to bring up this narrow strip of land from underneath. Lord Parasurama, believed to be the sixth avatar of Lord Mahavishnu, threw his axe from Gokarnam southward across the ocean in rage and in repentance for his actions of killing Kshatriyas. The land of Kerala emerged from the waters of the Arabian Sea with the blessing of Varuna-the God of Oceans and Bhumidevi- the Goddess of Earth. The sobriquet “God’s own Country” thus bestows itself on Kerala.

Arrival Cochin To Munnar ( 140 Kms / 4 Hrs )
On Arrival pick up from Cochin airport ,Thereafter drive towards Munnar. On arrival, check into the hotel and take rest. Enjoy the picturesque landscape of Munnar. O/n stay at hotel.

Day 2
Munnar
After breakfast proceed for sightseeing includes Photo point, Mattupetty Dam ( Optional Boat ride) ,Echo point (The natural Echo phenomenon is always happening here), Shooting point , Kundale Lake. On second half visit Visiting Tea Museum ( Monday Closed ),Blossom park Overnight stay in Munnar.

Day 3
Munnar To Thekkady (Periyar) ( 120 Kms / 04 Hrs )
Transfer to Thekady. Situated at an altitude of 900-1800 mtrs. The very sound of the word Thekkady conjures up images of elephants, unending chains of hills and spice scented plantations. This evening enjoy a boat safari on Periyar Lake to view the varied wild life of this region. Overnight at hotel.

Thekkady To Kovalam
Now, start driving towards Kovalam. Upon arrival, check into the hotel and stay overnight. Enjoy the beauty of Kovalam by strolling down on beaches. O/n stay at hotel.

Day 5
In Kovalam
After breakfast visit Padmanabhapuram Palace & Archeological museum in Trivandrum. Return back to Kovalam . Stay overnight at hotel.

Kovalam To Trivandrum Airport Drop.
Next morning, take your breakfast and head towards Trivandrum International airport for flying onwards.
