How do you reach the Andaman Islands?
By air to Port Blair, which is the entry point for the islands. There is no road connection from the mainland, and onward travel to Havelock and Neil is by sea.
Which islands do the itineraries cover?
Port Blair, Havelock and Neil — officially Swaraj Dweep and Shaheed Dweep. The Nicobar group is not open to tourism.
Do foreign nationals need a permit for the Andamans?
Since 2018 most foreign nationals no longer need a Restricted Area Permit for the main tourist islands, though citizens of Afghanistan, China and Pakistan still do; Indian nationals do not need one. Permit rules change, so confirm the current position before booking.
When is the best time to visit the Andamans?
