Char Dham Yatra from Haridwar
9N / 10D Starts from Haridwar By road
Char Dham Yatra from Jaipur: how to reach the start, the 9 nights and 10 days ex-Haridwar itinerary from ₹26,900 per person, and the days to set aside.
Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath, joined to a departure from Jaipur. The yatra itself starts in Uttarakhand, so what changes from one city to the next is how you reach the start and how many days to set aside either side of it.
By air. Jaipur has a direct flight to Dehradun's Jolly Grant airport, which is quick — but the road and rail options are close enough in total time to be worth comparing.
By rail. Jaipur to Haridwar is an overnight rail journey, and the road route is also practical, so this is one of the few cities where not flying costs you very little.
Either itinerary works from Jaipur. The ex-Haridwar programme suits a direct Dehradun arrival; the ex-Delhi one suits you if you are routing through Delhi anyway, which many Jaipur travellers are.

About 480 to 500 km, 9 to 10 hours, via Delhi, Meerut, Muzaffarnagar and Roorkee. Delhi is on the way, so drivers can also join the Delhi start.
Rates are per person, vary with hotel grade and group size, and exclude 5% GST. Flights and trains from your city are booked separately.
Yes. Non-stop services operate into Jolly Grant airport at Dehradun. Frequencies shift with the yatra season, so confirm current timings when you fix your dates.
Haridwar, in most cases. Flying straight into Dehradun leaves you about an hour from Haridwar, so the 9 nights and 10 days ex-Haridwar itinerary adds the least travel at either end.
About twelve days: 9 nights and 10 days for the yatra, plus a day at each end for the flights. The helicopter circuit out of Dehradun is the fastest option at 5 nights and 6 days.
The yatra costs from ₹26,900 per person on the Haridwar itinerary (9N / 10D) or from ₹32,300 per person on the Delhi itinerary (11N / 12D), excluding 5% GST. Both overnight trains, the 19031 and the 19609, reach Haridwar the morning the yatra starts, so no extra hotel night is needed. Groups with their own car can also drive the 480 to 500 km.
May to June, or September to October; July and August are monsoon months, with landslides and road closures. Yamunotri and Gangotri open on 9 May 2027, and the Kedarnath and Badrinath dates are announced in spring. Train bookings open 60 days ahead, so for a mid-May start book the Yoga Express in mid-March. September and October trains are easier to get than the May to June school-holiday rush.
The 19031 Yoga Express runs daily, leaving Jaipur at 22:50 and reaching Haridwar at 11:20. The 19609 to Yog Nagari Rishikesh runs three days a week, leaving at 21:40 and reaching Haridwar at 08:30. Both are overnight. Confirm days and timings on NTES or IRCTC.
