Char Dham Yatra from Haridwar
9N / 10D Starts from Haridwar By road
Char Dham Yatra from Pune: how to reach the start, the 9 nights and 10 days ex-Haridwar itinerary from ₹26,900 per person, and the days to set aside.
Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath, joined to a departure from Pune. The yatra itself starts in Uttarakhand, so what changes from one city to the next is how you reach the start and how many days to set aside either side of it.
By air. Pune has a direct flight to Dehradun's Jolly Grant airport, which saves the road or rail hop to Mumbai that used to be part of this journey. Delhi is served very frequently as the fallback.
By rail. Pune to Haridwar by train runs to around a day and a half, and direct services exist, so rail is a reasonable choice for the return.
The non-stop Dehradun service makes the ex-Haridwar itinerary the shorter option from Pune. Check the frequency when you fix dates — it is a thinner schedule than Mumbai's.

About twelve days: 9 nights and 10 days for the yatra, plus a day at each end for the flights. The helicopter circuit out of Dehradun is the fastest option at 5 nights and 6 days.
The yatra costs from ₹26,900 per person on the Haridwar itinerary (9N / 10D) or from ₹32,300 per person on the Delhi itinerary (11N / 12D), excluding 5% GST. Flying in the day before means one hotel night in Haridwar, which is not part of the package. The weekly 17363 train reaches Haridwar on Wednesday at 21:55, so it suits a Thursday start.
May to June, or September to October; July and August are monsoon months, with landslides and road closures.
