Char Dham Yatra from Delhi
11N / 12D Starts from Delhi By road
Char Dham Yatra from Surat: no direct Dehradun flight, so the ex-Delhi itinerary from ₹32,300 per person is usually shorter. Routes, days and costs.
Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath, joined to a departure from Surat. The yatra itself starts in Uttarakhand, so what changes from one city to the next is how you reach the start and how many days to set aside either side of it.
By air. Surat has no non-stop service to Dehradun — that routing connects and runs to around five hours in the air. Surat to Delhi, however, is direct and takes roughly two hours.
By rail. Surat sits on the western trunk route, so direct trains to Haridwar run and are a practical alternative to a connecting flight.
This is one of the cities where the ex-Delhi itinerary is usually the better buy. A direct two-hour flight to Delhi beats a connection into Dehradun, and the ex-Delhi programme already opens with the Delhi to Haridwar transfer as a day of its own.

There is no non-stop flight from Surat to Dehradun. Fly to Delhi and join the Delhi start, or connect on to Dehradun.
Rates are per person, vary with hotel grade and group size, and exclude 5% GST. Flights and trains from your city are booked separately.
No. That routing connects, usually through Delhi. The Delhi leg itself is direct, which is why the ex-Delhi itinerary often works out shorter from here.
Delhi, in most cases. With no non-stop Dehradun service, flying direct to Delhi and taking the 11 nights and 12 days ex-Delhi programme avoids a connection and builds the transfer into the itinerary.
About thirteen days: the ex-Delhi itinerary is 11 nights and 12 days, plus the flight at each end. The helicopter circuit out of Dehradun is the fastest option at 5 nights and 6 days.
The yatra costs from ₹26,900 per person on the Haridwar itinerary (9N / 10D) or from ₹32,300 per person on the Delhi itinerary (11N / 12D), excluding 5% GST. With no non-stop flight, the choice is the daily 19019 train, which reaches Haridwar at 07:50 for the Haridwar start, or a flight to Delhi and the Delhi start, which is two days longer and priced higher.
May to June, or September to October; July and August are monsoon months, with landslides and road closures. Yamunotri and Gangotri open on 9 May 2027, and the Kedarnath and Badrinath dates are announced in spring. The 19019 opens for booking 60 days ahead, so for a mid-May start book in mid-March; the Tuesday 12911 and Wednesday 22917 are the fallbacks if it is full.
The 19019 runs daily, leaving Surat at 04:35 and reaching Haridwar at 07:50 the next day. The 12911 runs on Tuesday and the 22917 on Wednesday. Confirm timings on NTES or IRCTC.
